Decklists and congrats!!!This past weekend was the final Midwest Masters Series Open in Pittsburgh. 8 more players fought their way through 7 rounds of swiss to claim an invite to the $10,000 Championship! For those hoping to make the big event, you still have one last chance! There are two Last Chance Qualifiers scheduled for GenCon on August 5th and 6th. The top 4 players at each event will get the last few invites to the big event. Congratulations to those who qualified this past weekend! Read on to see who won, and what new tech they used to get them there!
Championship competitors GenCon badge registration now available!GenCon badge information has gone out to all who have qualified for the Masters Series Championship, so if you have not received your email with your info - please email info@pastimes.net so we can help you get what's coming to you!! Also - as a reminder - if you weren't able to qualify at one of the Midwest Masters Series Open, don't despair! There is still a chance to qualify! We will be holding two Last Chance Qualifier tournaments at GenCon. Each event will award four invites to the Midwest Masters Series Championship. This is your last chance to make it to the big event! The following players have already qualified, you can too!
Midwest Masters Series Last Chance Qualifiers Announced!Having trouble making it to the Masters Series Open Events, but still want a chance to play in the Championship? There's good news! We will be holding a pair of Last Chance Qualifier tournaments at GenCon on the days leading up to the Championship. Scheduling information is below. Each Qualifier tournament will be Standard format, like all Masters Series events. After swiss rounds, the Top 8 will play one final elimination round, after which the remaining four competitors will qualify for the Championship Event! Unlike the Midwest Masters Series Open Events, the Last Chance Qualifiers will not award cash prizes, and only four Championship entries will be up for grabs at each event. However they are your last chance to qualify, and will provide everyone that can make it to GenCon with the opportunity to participate in the $10,000 Midwest Masters Series Championship! Columbus Top 8! Decklists and congrats!!!183 players showed up June 19th in Columbus to vie for a share of the prizes in the Midwest Masters Series Open. After all was said and done, 8 more players qualified for the $10,000 MMS Championship at GenCon, and Cedric Phillips's Turboland deck beat out Michael Pozsgay's Jund deck to claim the top prize! St Louis Top 8! Decklists and Congrats!!!Here are the decklists from the Top 8 competitors from this past weekend's Midwest Masters Series Open in St Louis. Top 8 featured a diverse collection of decks, with only one Jund and one U/W making the cut. Bant saw a lot of success, with one Bant and 2 Mythic Conscription decks making Top 8.
